1 Basinghall Avenue is eight minutes’ walk from Liverpool Street, with an auditorium for up to 450 delegates, three further conference rooms and space for 30 exhibition stands. There is a shortcut worth knowing: the Elizabeth line platforms at Liverpool Street run west under the City and surface at the Moorgate entrance, which puts the venue two minutes away rather than eight. It is the largest of our three conference venues in the City of London.
Liverpool Street is among the busiest stations in the country and the best connected of any near us: the Elizabeth, Central, Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines, Greater Anglia services from Norwich, Ipswich, Colchester and Cambridge, and the Stansted Express. For delegates flying into Stansted it is the obvious arrival point, and for anyone coming down from East Anglia or the Cambridge corridor it is the only one.
From the main concourse the walk is about eight minutes: out onto Old Broad Street or Blomfield Street, west past Finsbury Circus and into London Wall, then Basinghall Avenue. If your delegates are on the Elizabeth line, tell them to use the Moorgate end instead — that exit is two minutes from our door. Walk times are our own estimate and will be confirmed on foot.
Moorgate itself adds the Northern line and Great Northern trains from Hertford and Stevenage, and Bank is five minutes the other way for the Central and Waterloo & City lines. The venue is inside the Congestion Charge and ULEZ zones and has no parking of its own.
Three Forums open into a single auditorium for a plenary of up to 450 theatre-style, then divide into three rooms for breakouts. The exhibition space takes 30 stands, the reception area handles registration for a full house, and the roof terrace is the lunch and drinks space when the weather allows, looking across the City to St Paul’s.

Broadgate and the streets around it hold a different mix from the rest of the City: asset managers, technology and fintech, consultancies and the recruitment industry, alongside the banks. Their conferences tend to be larger and less formal than the ones booked around Bank — annual kick-offs, client conferences, all-hands days, product and platform launches. We also take a steady stream of association conferences whose delegates travel in from East Anglia, and graduate intakes in September when firms want a room that holds an entire year group. AGMs and results presentations, exam sittings and product launches fill the rest of the calendar, and academic and charity conferences are offered a discounted rate — ask for it when you enquire.
Catering is in-house by Mayfair Catering, from arrival coffee to a seated dinner for 200 in the combined Forum, with canapés for drinks receptions from our sister company City Canapé Company, made fresh each day in its EC1 kitchen and delivered by cargo bike. In our post-event survey 97% of clients rated their overall event 8 or more out of 10, and 96% said they would book again.

Liverpool Street has the deepest hotel stock of any station near us, which makes it the easy choice when delegates are staying over or flying in through Stansted; our HotelMap page shows live rates around the venue. For eating, Spitalfields Market is five minutes east of the station and takes a large group without much notice, Devonshire Square is quieter and closer, and Finsbury Circus sits between the station and our front door for a drink on the way back.
