Two dedicated conference venues in the West End
Cavendish Venues operates two dedicated conference venues in the West End of London: Cavendish Conference Centre at 22 Duchess Mews in Marylebone, with a tiered auditorium for up to 250 delegates; and Hallam Conference Centre at 44 Hallam Street in Fitzrovia, a Grade II listed building with eight flexible rooms. Both sit within a five-minute walk of Oxford Circus, Great Portland Street and Regent's Park, and a single event can use both buildings together.

Cavendish Conference Centre — 22 Duchess Mews
Our Marylebone building is built around a tiered 250-seat auditorium, with four flexible rooms alongside for breakouts, boardroom sessions and speaker greenrooms. The tiered layout gives every delegate a proper sightline to the stage without the temporary rake and hire cost of a flat-floor build. See the 22 Duchess Mews venue page for floorplans and the full room list.
Hallam Conference Centre — 44 Hallam Street
Our Fitzrovia building is a Grade II listed property that Cavendish Venues converted for events use in 2009, having been purpose-built by the General Medical Council for their annual conferences and tribunals. Eight flexible meeting rooms across four floors handle everything from an eight-person board meeting to a 250-delegate conference, with generous natural light throughout — a rare thing for a purpose-built conference building in Central London. See the 44 Hallam Street venue page for the full room list.
Getting to a West End conference venue
Both venues sit inside the Fitzrovia / Marylebone quarter and are best reached by Tube:
- Oxford Circus (Central, Bakerloo, Victoria) — five minutes to either building. Full route and hotels.
- Great Portland Street (Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan) — three minutes to Cavendish Conference Centre, four to Hallam. Full route.
- Regent's Park (Bakerloo) — four to five minutes to either building, and the park itself is on the doorstep for a break in the day. Full route.
- Bond Street (Central, Jubilee, Elizabeth line) — eight to ten minutes on foot, and the closest option for delegates arriving from Heathrow, Paddington, Canary Wharf and Stratford. Full route.
Marylebone, Euston and King's Cross are the closest mainline stations. The venues sit inside the Congestion Charge and ULEZ zones, so most delegates arrive by train.
Who books a West End conference venue
The area around Fitzrovia and Marylebone is the professional-services heart of the West End: media, advertising and marketing agencies around Charlotte Street; medical royal colleges and Harley Street specialists; the University of London on Bloomsbury's edge; and fashion, retail and beauty press offices around Bond Street. The organisations here book us for AGMs and results presentations, graduate training, exam sittings, product launches, press days, hybrid conferences and academic and charity conferences, for which a discounted rate applies — ask for it when you enquire.
Filming, photography and press days
Both West End venues are well suited to corporate video, interview shoots and press-day formats. 22 Duchess Mews in particular is popular for talking-head content and boardroom-style shoots because of its mews character and quiet acoustic; 44 Hallam Street works for larger set-ups, product photography and buyer-preview formats. Both have loading access, back-of-house green rooms and controllable light.
Catering, sustainability and the B Corp point
Catering is in-house, by Mayfair Catering, from arrival coffee to a seated dinner in the tiered auditorium at Duchess Mews or the private dining rooms at Hallam, with canapés for drinks receptions from our sister company City Canapé Company. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, halal and kosher menus are all available. In our post-event survey 97% of clients rated their overall event 8 or more out of 10, and 96% said they would book again. Cavendish Venues is a Certified B Corporation, and took Gold for Best Venue Customer Service and Silver in the Sustainability Award for Venues at the Conference Awards 2026.
Staying, eating and drinking near the West End venues
Delegates staying overnight have a good choice of hotels within a ten-minute walk of either building, from The Langham on Portland Place through to the properties around Marylebone High Street. Our HotelMap pages show live rates: HotelMap for 44 Hallam Street and HotelMap for 22 Duchess Mews. For a working lunch or a team dinner after the conference, Charlotte Street, Marylebone High Street and Marylebone Village have restaurants and bars within five minutes in every direction. Ask the venue team on the day — they know which is quiet at 6pm and which takes a table of twenty.
Our conference venues in the City of London
If the West End is not the right side of town for your delegates, we have three conference venues in the City of London: 1 Basinghall Avenue (450 seats, two minutes from Moorgate), The Minster Building at 21 Mincing Lane and 1 America Square. See the side-by-side of the main City conference venues, or our London conference venues page for all five.
