If your delegates are arriving at Great Portland Street, our nearest dedicated conference venue is Cavendish Conference Centre at 22 Duchess Mews, three minutes on foot. It has a tiered 250-seat auditorium and four flexible rooms. Our second West End venue, Hallam Conference Centre at 44 Hallam Street, is four minutes on foot — a Grade II listed building with eight rooms.
Great Portland Street is a Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan line station on the north side of Regent's Park. It is the quietest of the West End interchanges and one of the most useful for delegates coming from the north (King's Cross, Euston Square, Paddington) — every direction is one or two stops away.
From the station it is three minutes on foot to 22 Duchess Mews: leave onto Marylebone Road, cross to Great Portland Street itself, walk south past the shops and turn left into Duchess Street; Duchess Mews is the cobbled turn-off on the left. For 44 Hallam Street, continue one street further south — it is four minutes from the station in total.
Regent's Park (Bakerloo) is four minutes on foot for a change to the Bakerloo line; Oxford Circus (Central, Bakerloo, Victoria) is five minutes south for the busy West End interchange; Bond Street (Central, Jubilee, Elizabeth) is eight minutes for the Elizabeth line. Most delegates come by train.
22 Duchess Mews is built around its tiered auditorium — 250 seats with a proper sightline for every delegate — and four flexible rooms alongside for breakouts and speaker prep. It suits AGMs, results presentations and academic conferences where a lecture format matters. 44 Hallam Street's eight flexible rooms across four floors handle exam sittings, graduate training and product launches — a single event can take one floor for plenary and another for exhibitors, all with natural light. The area around Great Portland Street is professional-services country: the medical royal colleges and Harley Street specialists to the north, the media, advertising and marketing agencies of Fitzrovia to the east, the University of London on Bloomsbury's edge, and the fashion, retail and beauty press offices around Bond Street to the south. The organisations here book us for AGMs and results presentations, graduate intakes and training programmes, exam sittings, product launches, press days, hybrid conferences and academic and charity conferences — for which a discounted rate applies.
Catering is in-house, by Mayfair Catering, from arrival coffee to a seated dinner, with canapés for drinks receptions from our sister company City Canapé Company. In our post-event survey 97% of clients rated their overall event 8 or more out of 10. Cavendish Venues is a Certified B Corporation, and took Gold for Best Venue Customer Service and Silver in the Sustainability Award for Venues at the Conference Awards 2026.
Delegates staying overnight have a good choice of hotels within a ten-minute walk of both venues, from The Langham on Portland Place through to the properties around Marylebone High Street. Charlotte Street, Marylebone High Street and Marylebone Village have restaurants and bars within five minutes in every direction. Almost everyone arrives by train: both West End venues are inside the Congestion Charge and ULEZ zones. If you need to bring equipment or exhibition stands by van, tell us when you book and we will arrange access.
