Filming Locations Across Five Central London Venues
Our five venues – Hallam Conference Centre in Fitzrovia, Cavendish Conference Centre in Marylebone, Basinghall in the Square Mile, America Square near Tower Hill and the Minster Building in the City – give a production a range of looks in one booking: period rooms and panelling, contemporary glass and steel, and at America Square a preserved section of the Roman London Wall. All five are central, so crew and talent are not travelling out to a location.
Power, Light and Back-of-House
Rooms have ample power throughout, controllable lighting and blackout where the space allows, and quiet enough ventilation to hold a take. Green rooms and holding space for talent can be booked alongside the shoot room, with fast Wi-Fi for a runner desk.
In-House AV Support
Our AV technicians are on site for the duration of the booking, so a production bringing its own crew has someone to talk to about power, rigging and schedule rather than hunting for a building manager. Smaller interview and talking-head set-ups can be supported in-house.
Catering for a Shoot Day
Shoot days run long. Catering is by our group catering partner Mayfair Catering, with crew breakfast, all-day tea and coffee, and hot lunch served where the crew actually is. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, halal and kosher options are all available.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I hire a Cavendish venue as a filming location?
Yes. We host corporate video, interview shoots, talking-head content, product films, brand documentaries and press-conference-style pieces across the five venues. Character locations at 22 Duchess Mews; modern glass-fronted receptions at The Minster Building; historic stone at 1 America Square (Roman wall visible through internal windows); contemporary office space at 44 Hallam Street.
What power and lighting is available for a shoot?
Multiple 13-amp power sockets throughout every filming room. HVAC that can be temporarily quieted for takes. Blackout curtains or blinds in the primary shoot rooms. A green room or talent holding room adjacent to shoot rooms. Runner desk with fast Wi-Fi and printing. Loading access for camera, lighting and grip trucks is confirmed venue-by-venue in the booking pack.
Do you have in-house camera and audio kit?
Simple interview shoots — camera, lavalier microphones, three-point lighting — can be supplied in-house by our AV team. Larger productions bring their own DP, lighting and grip, and we host them; our AV team liaises with your production coordinator on power draw, rigging and schedule.
Do you provide location releases and permissions?
Yes. We provide standard location-release documentation for corporate-video and commercial productions. Feature-film and drama shoots can be discussed on a case-by-case basis — production coordinators should build in a longer approval window for larger productions.
Can you provide catering for a shoot day?
Yes. Shoot days run on food and coffee: crew breakfast, all-day tea and coffee, hot lunch served to the runner desk or the green room, and afternoon snacks. Talent catering with specific dietary requirements or dressing-room requests is handled as standard by our in-house team.
Crews tend to choose on access and quiet as much as looks. 22 Duchess Mews and 44 Hallam Street work well for this; see all our London conference venues and our West End venues.
