Graduate Programmes Across Five Central London Venues
Induction weeks, assessment days and rolling training programmes all run with us, across Hallam Conference Centre in Fitzrovia, Cavendish Conference Centre in Marylebone, Basinghall in the Square Mile, America Square near Tower Hill and the Minster Building in the City. Every venue is within a five-minute walk of a mainline Tube or rail station, which is worth something when you are asking a large intake to arrive on time on day one.
A Base Room, With Breakouts Around It
Graduate programmes work best with a base room for the cohort and syndicate rooms around it for group exercises, assessments and parallel sessions. Breakouts can be set differently from the main room – a cabaret plenary with boardroom syndicates, for example – and many rooms have good natural light.
Multi-Day and Recurring Bookings
Multi-day and repeating bookings are routine here. A programme running several cohorts through the year gets the same space, the same AV and the same team each time, which keeps the experience consistent from intake to intake. Preferential rates apply to extended and repeat bookings.
Catering and Evening Sessions
Catering is by our group catering partner Mayfair Catering, with vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, halal and kosher options as standard. All five venues are available into the evening, so a welcome reception or cohort dinner can follow the training day in the same building.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you host graduate induction weeks and training programmes?
Yes. Graduate schemes are one of our most-repeated bookings — law firms, investment banks, the Big Four, NHS clinical education, engineering firms and fast-growing tech scale-ups all run graduate induction and training weeks at Cavendish venues. We routinely allocate a cohort’s base room for a full week and keep their materials in place overnight.
What is the largest graduate cohort you can host?
Our largest single-day graduate cohort capacity is around 400 in the main hall at 1 America Square, with adjacent breakout rooms for team sessions. For multi-day programmes we typically host 40 to 150 delegates end-to-end, with plenary, breakouts, private dining and evening reception space all in the same building.
Can you set up a graduate assessment centre?
Yes. For assessment days we run parallel exercises in parallel rooms: group case-study in one room, in-tray exercise in another, presentations in a third, one-to-one interviews in a set of small offices. Assessor rooms with quiet writing time between rotations. Candidate holding areas with refreshments and Wi-Fi. Hearing loops, step-free routes and quiet rooms available for candidates with declared accessibility needs.
Do you host graduate networking dinners and evening receptions?
Yes. Graduate evenings are usually networking receptions on the first evening and a formal cohort dinner on the second or third. The Level 11 roof terrace at 1 Basinghall Avenue is popular for opening receptions. Private dining rooms across the group seat 20 to 120 for formal dinners. Catering is prepared in-house.
Which venue is best for a City-focused graduate scheme?
City law firms, investment banks and Big Four cohorts usually choose 1 America Square, The Minster Building or 1 Basinghall Avenue because they put graduates a short walk from the firm’s office for shadow days and partner meetings. West End media, healthcare and retail graduates usually choose 44 Hallam Street or 22 Duchess Mews for the same reason.
Graduate intakes need a room that holds the whole year group and smaller ones for streams. 1 Basinghall Avenue takes 450, The Minster Building 350. Both are among our conference venues in the City of London; all five are on our London conference venues page.
