Frequently Asked Questions
Is Cavendish Venues a certified B Corporation?
Yes. Cavendish Venues is a certified B Corporation. B Corp certification is an audited, whole-business assessment covering environment, workers, community, customers and governance — passing it requires a minimum verified score across all five areas. It puts Cavendish in a small group of London event venue operators that have taken the process through to certification.
Has Cavendish Venues won any sustainability awards?
Yes. Cavendish Venues was awarded Silver for Sustainability at the 2026 Conference & Events Awards, recognising the operational work behind the B Corp certification. We are happy to walk clients through the assessment and the specific measures behind it as part of a site visit.
How is your event catering sustainable?
All catering is prepared in-house by our MCAT team — no third-party caterers, no delivery-van food-mile tail. Menus are seasonal and centred on British produce from named suppliers. Meat and fish are traceable. Coffee is Fairtrade. Halal, kosher, vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and allergen protocols are covered as standard, not as an extra tier.
How do you handle waste and single-use plastic?
Every venue runs on 100% renewable-tariff electricity. Waste is separated on site into dry recyclables, glass and food waste; food waste goes to anaerobic digestion. Single-use plastics have been removed from catering and delegate service. Water is served in glass carafes; badges are lanyards that clients can return for reuse.
Can I get a sustainability report for my event?
On request we can provide a per-event sustainability summary covering catering emissions, waste handled, delegate travel mode-share (from your survey data) and headline energy figures. Useful for annual reports, grant reporting and ESG disclosures. Ask for it at the booking stage so we capture the data during the event rather than reconstructing after.
