This is a practical guide for anyone organising or attending an event at 1 America Square: where to get coffee before an early start, where to send delegates for lunch or take a client for dinner, what to do after the last session, and where to stay if the conference runs over more than a day. Everything below is within a short walk of the front door at EC3N 2LB, and the walking times were measured from the venue entrance.
1 America Square sits between Fenchurch Street station (two minutes) and Tower Hill (three), on the eastern edge of the Square Mile where the insurance district meets the Tower of London. A stretch of the Roman city wall runs through the venue's lower floors. Aldgate is five minutes, Liverpool Street thirteen, and the Tower, Tower Bridge and St Katharine Docks are all within ten minutes' walk, which makes this the easiest of our venues for delegates who want to see something of London after the day ends. Our sister venue The Minster Building is a five-minute walk west on Mincing Lane.
