Winter is approaching – hurrah!
Most people dread the Winter the evenings drawing in, the dark mornings the rain, the damp, the cold and the snow. Sweeping leaves, soggy feet and damp clothes with that unmistakable smell of yes – wet dog! Not to mention the appearance of mince pies and Christmas puddings that have a use by date prior to the elves downing tools for the reindeers with sled taking flight.
What is there to look forward to, you may ask?
Why the winter fayre, from warming soups to combat the chill, to hearty stews and roasted, caramelized roots followed by crumble and custard. Yes, there is a lot to look forward to as the temperature drops. At Cavendish Conference Venues, we’ve marked our calendars, roll on the 15th October as it spells the end of Summer menus. We’ve had our fill, lovely as it was, but we are ready for our winter warmers, food to nourish the soul, an insulation against the chill and to stick to our ribs.
