In June 2024, Cvent surveyed just over 500 event professionals, aiming to identify key insights regarding event planners' intentions for booking a London conference venue in 2025.

The Most Important Factors in Booking a London Conference Venue:

  • 34% responded that the total cost is their most important consideration.
  • 94% are prepared to pay more when event planners know the staff and service levels.
  • 80% of planners want responses to their RFPS in four days or less.
  • 20% cite getting an adequate response by their due date as the top challenge in the sourcing process.
  • 26% of planners say that a poor attendee experience would deter them from returning to a venue in the future. Of this 26%, 32% believe that a poor attendee experience is a consequence of venue staffing shortages.

Key Factors in the Booking Process for London Conference Venue:

  • 23% say the biggest challenge is understanding how the event space will meet their needs.
  • 21% say the most difficult part is researching the specs, capabilities, and amenities.
  • 22% referring to venue websites and 18% venue sourcing platforms.
  • 46% report that images and videos of meeting room specifications are the two top influential factors (46%).
  • 23% report that a poor booking or contracting experience would prevent planners from returning to an existing hotel and venue.
