A host of venue finding agency report sharp rises in enquiry levels

May 27, 2022

Venue finding agency ExecSpace has reported a 500% rise in its business, as companies and organisations return to face to face events.

The Edinburgh-headquartered company, which lost 90% of its revenues when Covid-19 lockdowns were introduced across the UK in 2020 and 2021, has now reported 500% growth over the last year with more than £5m in client bookings secured so far in 2022.

While the company had to scale down due to the pandemic, it also used the time to enhance its offering, and launched the ExecTech platform. The platform is dedicated to supporting meeting and event planners manage their spend and streamline the process across their organisations.

With the easing of Covid-19 restrictions, ExecSpace is also on a recruitment drive with three new meeting and event executives having recently joined the team and plans to recruit further colleagues in the coming months.

The company says its increasing revenues on the back of a return to in-person events and meetings is another positive indicator of a return to a pre-Covid business environment.

Similarly, Cheshire events agency, Saving Grace Events, is celebrating the growth of both the team and its turnover with a move to new offices in Knutsford town centre.

During the pandemic, Saving Grace Events launched the Tatton Park Pop Up Festival, creating over 100 jobs and securing employment for over 80 performers. Cheshire’s first socially distanced outdoor festival took place over 10 weeks from June-August 2021 and was attended by over 20,000 visitors.

Generating over £1m, this quadrupled the agency’s total turnover for the year. Tickets for the 2022 Festival went on sale at the beginning of the year, with £100,000 of tickets sold in the first two months.

London based agent, The Venue Booker has reported a near 600% jump in revenue for the first quarter of 2022 as compared to 2019. With the welcome return of old clients and some fantastic new client wine, Kingfisher, David Lloyd gyms etc.

This spurt in growth experienced by venue finding agencies is as we have already reported previously (HERE) feeding though to through to significant growth in venue demand (HERE) , this in turn is impacting prices.
