UK Government says Organisations have ‘no obligations’ to cancel events
“There is no obligation on organisations to suspend business during the national mourning period ‘”guidance from the Cabinet Office said on Friday. “Depending on the nature and location of their business and the tone of planned events, some businesses may wish to consider closing or postponing events, especially on the day of the state funeral.”
Closure was “at the discretion” of the individual business the document added.
In line with this major event such as London Fashion week are going ahead next week as planned. The British Fashion council said the event was going ahead because it was a “business to business” event.
