Spotlight on West End Venues – Meeting rooms
London’s West End is famous for its fantastic range of theatres, tourist attractions, hotels and shopping. There’s always something happening on these iconic central London streets.
Tucked away amongst the shops are a mass of venues for conferences, meetings, product launches, receptions, dinners and lots more. Many are within a stone’s throw of major underground stations such as Oxford Circus, Bond Street, Regent’s Park, Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square.
Sitting between Regent’s Park, and Oxford circus there are several conference and event venues, the largest of these is Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) on Portland Place which houses a lecture theatre with a capacity of almost 400, and just off Portland Place on Duchess Mews is the Cavendish Conference Centre, a purpose built conference venue with state of the art Audio Visual facilities and capacity for up to 250 in a tiered classroom style. For a slightly out of the way experience you have 30 Euston Square and the Welcome Collection, both contain large conference and exhibition space seating 200 plus delegates.
For a more boutique experience, 41 Portland Place, a grade II listed Georgian townhouse, home of the Academy of Medical Sciences has a charming first floor room with period features which is perfect for dinners for up to 50 guests.
The Five Star Langham Hotel with it’s fine dining Landau restaurant and award winning bar, Artesian, is walking distance from Oxford Circus.
If you are looking at Piccadilly as a location, you will find BAFTA 195 Piccadilly, home of BAFTA worldwide, as well as an award-winning venue for hire that offers outstanding hospitality and a suite of flexible event spaces, which can be crafted to suit any occasion.
