Rachel’s WFH diary… Week 5
Gosh.. cannot believe we have hit week 5, days are odd, moods are closer to the surface than usual and we are keeping our distance and manners too! Personally, I cannot wait until we can all get dressed up go for a stroll along the south bank , grab a coffee, pop into a gallery, enjoy a G & T watching the world go by followed by a scrumptious dinner in an atmospheric restaurant… Sadly as yet we can only go out for an hours local exercise each day.
I must say once again the Bluebells in Wanstead Park are a delightful carpet of blue, we have visited many times in the last few weeks and this weekend the gorgeous bluebells are blooming. A wander through the woods cures your blues and a sure sign summer is on the way.
Bluebells don’t hang around for too many weeks, so if you are local go pay them a visit while you can! Chalet Wood, Wanstead Park, E11 2LT.
The large park contains open spaces, woodland trails and peaceful ponds to explore, and a small visitor’s centre that’ll sell you an ice cream, when its open! Also, you can spot the odd Heron, Mallard and other wildlife. I am hoping the Red Kite will eventually migrate to east London from the south and west.
At least the sun makes this lockdown bearable, time for morning coffee, then back to enquiries for conference rooms, meeting rooms, training spaces, workshop venues and so on……. Gosh I do miss the Conference Centres, colleagues and conference clients too.
