Rachel’s WFH diary… DAY 3
Morning started well with our Cavendish Conference Centres Team meeting. In these current dark days, we all need a bit of humour so decided we should all wear a funny head piece. Franci won the award with her cycle helmet, beautiful smile too, thank you!
Must feel good about ourselves in these uncertain times and ensure we rely on our clothes – the top half especially – to boost our wellbeing and sustain a positive mood. While WFH and joining team meetings online, do not forget remaining posh at the top and joggers will do at the bottom. This will also put our minds in a gear to concentrate on what we all know well, our conference venues, exhibition spaces, lecture theatres, audio visual, catering, sustainability and above all our wonderful supportive clients.
So far, I have had a productive day, starting to flag a bit now, but husband just reminded me it is tea at 3! No cake made so blueberry muffins (yes, he managed to get a packet in our local shop!) He also mentioned it was a game of statues keeping away from people.
We all know there is a lack of eggs in London, Deborah thank you for your recommendation for an an egg-free cake recipe.
Revitalized after tea, back to work with only a few hours left and it’s the weekend. For many of us first one in isolation, staying safe, at least we have one hour less to kill as the clocks change. I am looking forward to a virtual Gin and Tonic hour on Sunday with family at 6 pm!
Happy weekend to everyone and thank you for your support this week. Monday will be back all refreshed, unless of course I consume too many G and T’S 😊
