Monday Morning and I am a creature of habit and tend to wear the same clothes for work – clean of course – day in and day out.

At the weekend I decided to look through the wardrobe and found a little black suit, all dry cleaned from last year, something different I thought, until I tried to get into it. Yes, you guessed the button popped and the zip would not go to the top.

In the past year I have put on a few extra pounds. My mother did comment on Christmas Morning to both my sister law and I, we had both put on weight, she added as a bonus in the wrong places too!

Apart from blaming middle age, I think our caterers, Mayfair Catering are my problem.

The food her is so good, from porridge with golden syrup ( how many calories is this, I do not want to know ), to scrumptious fork buffets, delicious pudding and an irresistible cheese board. I was at the Hallam last week and the food was to die for.

The icing on the cake are the home-made banana and chocolate brownies in the afternoon. One needs to have one to accompany a cup of Earl Grey.

You may not believe me, but I don’t really have a sweet tooth, but when it is there, most difficult to not indulge.

If you know our venues, if you don’t they are worth a visit for the numerous jars of old fashioned sweets, love hears, drumsticks, fizzer, refreshers the list goes on and on. These too an added addition to the waste line.

Another drinks reception here tonight, nuts, crisps, as I am working no wine for me, great I have saved 250 calories. Roll on the morning and porridge.
