Confused About The Latest Rules for Masks

March 3, 2022

Are you confused about the latest rules for face masks? Here at Cavendish Venues will help you understand the rules easier and reassure you that it is okay to make enquires to conference centres.

Where do you still wear a face mask in England?

Face masks are still compulsory in healthcare places such as GP surgeries, hospitals and care homes. The government suggests that people wear face masks in enclosed or private spaces where they are mixing with people who they do not know.

The retailers who still wants staff and customers to wear face coverings are Tesco, Sainsburys, Lidl and John Lewis.

Face coverings are not mandatory on Transport for London tubes, trains and buses. Even though it is not mandatory our government still hinting that we should still wear them on those transportation. We are also going to say you should keep wearing them just so you do not panic when you hear people sneeze or cough.

If you want to find out more information on England, Northern Ireland, Wales or Scotland you can find it on BBC News.

The rules for businesses

Businesses in England and Northern Ireland no longer have an authorized requirement for customers or employees to wear face masks. The businesses get to decide if their customers or employees wear masks or let them decide for themselves. You can find out more on fsb they have many other useful topics on covid.

How are conference centres keeping their employees & customers safe?

We cannot speak behalf of all conference centres but here in Cavendish Venues are keeping our employees and customers safe, by still having hand sanitiser for our customers and employees to use in our conference centres. When we are seeing clients, we ask if they will be wearing masks or to check if they want us to wear our masks.

Since it is not compulsory to wear masks anymore and covid restrictions being lifted, we have noticed after the announcement had been made on the 24th  of February that our clients and delegates have confidently kept their masks off during conferences.
