Business Events Are Given Green Light
Prime Minister announced yesterday (23rd November) that conferences and other business events will be permitted to take place from 3rd December as UK emerges from national lockdown into the Tier System. Events larger than 30 people will only be permitted in Tier 1 and 2 areas and with certain restrictions on capacities and social distancing measures.
Boris Johnson said: “In Tiers one and two, spectator sports and business events will be able to resume indoors and outside with capacity limits and social distancing, providing more consistency with performances in theatres and concert halls.”
Permitted capacities in Tier 1:
4000 outdoors, 1000 indoors or 50% capacity, whichever is lower
Permitted capacities in Tier 2:
2000 outdoors, 1000 indoors or 50% capacity, whichever is lower
Finally some positive news for UK events industry, after the disappointments back in July and October when events sector was initially expected to restart. These news combined with recent vaccine updates are very promising and hopefully conference venues, exhibition centres, sports venues and other event venues along with suppliers, contractors, freelancers and other event professionals will start getting back on their feet.
With that in mind, we have a wide selection of different size conference rooms and meeting spaces available across Central London and would be delighted to host your next event, for more details please enquire HERE.
