For two years now we have been purchasing English wine. The environmental benefits are huge in terms of the significant transport miles incurred in importing continental wines let alone wine from as far away as New Zealand. Plus, we are buying directly from vineyards, thereby saving the environmental costs incurred in sending the wine to 3rd party wholesalers and back to ourselves. Initially, we are sourcing our house wine from Dorking (Denbies Vineyard), 27 kilometers to our Central London Conference Venues, this compares to say Bordeaux 1037km or Margaret River Australia 14 500km. We chose this vineyard both because of the quality of its wine but also its strong environmental credentials see HERE, these include, using Bio- Diesel in its tractors, a member of the bat conservancy council, planting some 1500 trees etc.

In February 2020 we widened our wine offering with a rose and a sparkling wine from the Lyme Bay winery, winners of over 70 wine awards at the likes, The International Wine Challenge, the Sommelier Wine Awards, the Decanter World Wine Awards, the International Wine & Spirits Competition and the UKVA Wine Awards.

Now we are widening our range still further with wine from Devon! For almost 40 years they have been making wine on the banks of the river Dart, see HERE and along the way they have picked up many high profile awards, including in 2020, Gold Medals for their Pinot Noir and Bacchus at the prestigious Wine GB Awards and best UK Traditional Method Sparkling Wine for the Sparkling Pink 2016 at the Bollicini del Mondo.
