UK Scrabble Finals At the Cavendish Conference Centre

National Scrabble Championship  are back again this year in the final is Paul Gallen and Olawale Fashina, did you know that Scrabble came about in 1939 by Alfred Mosher Butts, It’s not possible to play Scrabble in Japanese or Chinese, but is produced in 30 different languages and there is also a Braille version. The highest number of points that can be scored on the first go is 126 – with SQUEEZY or QUARTZY. A five-year-old boy once phoned Leicester police to complain his sister was cheating at Scrabble.

This year the final is being broadcasted online and there have been over 5000 people watching I hope these scrabble facts have cheered you up on this rainy Sunday.
