Quiet times in our beautiful city London…

May 7, 2020

Living in South West London has its ups and downs, mostly ups, but given we are not far from the flight path to Heathrow, it is eerily quiet at the moment! That is  most definitely an UP in my view as less noise and less emissions but when you have lived with it for so long it is strange to think what the consequences of ‘less noise’ for this wonderful Capital City of London will be! Without doubt, cleaner air is better for everyone but if there is no industry, no jobs, no economy how will we all survive? We Londoners, or those of us who are blow ins as we are commonly referred to, will survive, London is an amazing city and those  ‘Londoners’  living and working in this amazing megalopolis will see a new London emerge after we are over this lockdown. There will be new ‘noise’ levels as I am sure the planes will return,  let’s try to  keep the emission levels down, and we all will see a new striving and charismatic city, roll on the new times ahead!

With Love,

Dermot
