Cavendish Venues mixes the Beatles with Motown for agents, sealed with Beso!
With the end of 2018 looming, we thought what a great way to end the year than to take out some of the agents for an entertaining evening.
On Wednesday 5th December 2018 our Event Sales Executive Mariam Khan and Diary Assistant Eleni Semertzaki took some of the agents from Venue Search London and Select Event Solutions out for a treat at the newly-opened Beso Restaurant on Shaftesbury Avenue before heading to the theatre to see Motown the musical.
First stop of the night was at Beso, the wonderful Mediterranean-inspired restaurant. The space with all its quirkiness gave us a private dining area that entailed some rich history. The venue was the place that the legendary Beatles used to come and even write some of their lyrics on napkins! It was an enjoyable start to the day with some amazing taster dishes being served to give our guests and us the authentic Beso experience.
After the incredible service we received at Beso it was time for the finale: Motown the musical was next on the agenda and a brilliant way to have ended the evening. Listening to all the classic well-loved songs (whilst loudly singing along) was a real highlight of the evening.
During the Sixties, The Beatles used to dine and write songs on napkins in Beso’s cellar dining space following recording sessions for BBC radio at the nearby Playhouse Theatre on Northumberland Avenue.
The Beso menu is influenced by the journey of Khalid Dahbi’s love affair with food.
Sitting on the corner of Shaftesbury Avenue and Neal street, Beso has three distinct areas – The stunning Mosaic Majorelle Garden table and bar on the ground floor where you can walk in for cocktails and Moorish bites. The 30 seater restaurant Inspired by the Peter Behrens infamous painting “kiss” on the wall where you’ll enjoy a full Beso experience. The hidden caves and wine cellar will take you on a journey through past and present memories of the old medinas and the smell of freshly ground spices.
