Largest London Exhibition Centre to become a temporary hospital to help in Coronavirus fight
The latest news in UK’s fight with Covid-19 is that ExCel Conference Centre is on a path of becoming the emergency hospital with additional 4000 beds to help NHS to cope with the pressure.
This temporary facility is expected to become the largest hospital in the country and will be run by military medical personnel working hand in hand with NHS staff.
“The ExCeL will become a field hospital of 4,000 critical care beds,” said one NHS official with knowledge of the plan quoted by Britain’s Guardian newspaper. The London Evening Standard newspaper has reported that the UK Defence Ministry had confirmed military planners had visited the centre
