This week, we received a wonderful emailed letter thanking us for our support from clients Arsenal in the Community after winning the award for the Best Community and Social Responsibility Programme. Many congratulations from all of us here! It reads:

I am proud to inform you that on Monday evening Arsenal in the Community were awarded the honour of ‘Best Community and Social Responsibility Programme’ for our Employability Provision at the European Club Association Awards. The European Club Association is a group of the 220 leading clubs across 53 nations in Europe.

 

In summing up the reasons to present Arsenal with the award the chair of the panel Marc-Andre Buchwalder said “The Arsenal Employability Programme perfectly illustrates the force for good that clubs can have in their local communities. The tailor-made approach, the continuous support throughout the recruitment process, the special relationships developed with a range of employers and the tangible job outcomes make this a great example of an employability project that directly impacts the lives of the participants and their families. With more than 300 people gaining employment as a direct result of the project, the Arsenal Employability Programme has proved very successful and I can only invite other clubs to get inspired by this successful CSR model.”
